Pilato, the founder and executive director of "The Classic TV Preservation Society," took a large part of his past and created a future around it.  The author of such books as, The "Bewitched" Book, and The "Kung Fu" Book of Caine, Herbie served as a writer, producer, director and on-screen cultural commentator for a variety of TV shows such as Bravo’s hit five-part series, "The 100 Greatest TV Characters."  The Classic TV Preservation Society is a nonprofit organization dedicated to closing the gap between positive popular television and education.  http://www.classictvps.blogspot.com
