Meg Hirshberg/Author, For Better or For Work: A Survival Guide for Entrepreneurs and Their Families
The entrepreneurial life is not an easy one, and can be even tougher on the loved ones you bring along for the ride. Our guest for The CEO Hour First Friday Live Show knows all about the financial and personal risks of a serial entrepreneur. Meg Hirshberg is the columnist for Inc Magazine and the author of For Better or For Work: A Survival Guide for Entrepreneurs and Their Families. She is also the other half of the Stoneyfield Yogurt Company. The book is a great take on the relationship struggles businesspeople have to deal with. After 9 years of going without profits in the beginning, Stoneyfield is now the largest organic yogurt producer in the world at $370 million in revenues. Meg interviewed 250 entrepreneurs and their families about the issues that usually go "undiscussed" like asking family and friends for start-up money, missing kids events because of meetings, and the possibility of bankruptcy.
