In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDx which is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience At TEDxRochester, live speakers and TEDTalks video will combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. Individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organized. One of the first and oldest TEDxes, our mission is to share "Ideas Worth Spreading"; but in a way that shows the world, and more importantly, Rochesterians themselves, the vast potential and brilliance that exists in this dynamic, evolving city. This year's event will be held on Monday, November 4th, 2013 at the Strasenburgh Planetarium attached to the Rochester Museum and Science Center. http://www.tedxrochester.org/about/
