Make-A-Wish of Western New York is the February nonprofit on The CEO Hour. Make A Wish grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy. Make A Wish serves 17-counties from Buffalo to Jamestown, Rochester to Corning / Elmira, and all areas in between. It grants about 150 wishes per year at an average cost of $7,500 but the average wish cost is rising as air travel prices increase. Wishes typically fall into 1 of 4 categories, “I wish to go”, “I wish to be”, “I wish to have”, “I wish to meet” but there really is no limit to a child’s imagination in deciding their own heartfelt wish. It does not receive any state or federal funding. That's why Joel Harper and David Mammano let us know about the agencies largest fundraiser, the March 15, 2014 Annual Gala at Locust Hill Country Club.
